Newnan Force (Open Women Amateur Division 2 Team)

Newnan Force began its team in Newnan in fall of 2002 in order to offer opportunity on the Southside of Atlanta to those female adult players who still wished to play competitive in the sport.  We currently participate in the Greater Atlanta Women’s Soccer Association (GAWSA) in the Division 2 bracket. Games are played on Sundays on various fields around the metro area. GAWSA is affiliated with the Georgia Amateur Soccer Association and US Soccer.

Fall Season usually runs from mid-September through late November and Spring Seasonis from mid-March until June for ten games each. All games will be played on Sundays. We are looking for players who will be able to play in games on a regular basis. We also expect that players will be responsible in notifying their team if they are unable to attend a game. Newnan Force competes in the division 2 bracket which is a competitive/skilled level.  The team currently consists of ex-collegiate players and some previous select high school players, varying in different ages.  The team normally finishes in the top 4 for their bracket.
